Twas the night before Valentine's Day...

....and all through the house all of us were preparing except for my spouse??? Here are the valentines for the Explorers for tomorrow - just need to add a kiss for a comet. Thank you Pinterest for all the great ideas. Son #3 is making a moon jar for his lovely and darling daughter has gone wild making "cerealously I love you" valentines for her friends. One special person is getting a bottle of Mountain Dew with a special "I love everything you dew" tag on it.The Mister? he's getting socks because after 30 years we still make a great pair!

Sunday night...

Getting ready for the week. Wondering where the weekend went? Sometimes feel as if my to do list at the end of the weekend is as long as when I left school on Friday night. Looking forward to Valentines Day, Writing biographies, and learning our doubles facts.

Sneaky E

My fabulous teammate Mrs. Salberg shared these Sneaky E puppets that she found on Pinterest. The kids had so much fun making them. Hope it helps to remember because I still have little ones who skip that ever important silent e. The hardest part was asking them to leave them with me for the week. I think we'll add a couple of words each week until we exhaust our silent e pattern or the puppets wear out!

first we reviewed our anchor chart about "Sneaky E"

getting ready to add this weeks spelling words!

Sneaky E's hanging in our classroom. Took me until the end of the day to notice the backwards  e. Have to fix that on Monday!

Today was the 101st day of school! The Explorers were still a little wore out from all of the excitement of 100 days! Tomorrow back to our routine...ahhhhh!
